It's true that these days anyone can buy inexpensive DVD Authoring software and start making discs. It's also true that those same folks can rightfully claim to offer pretty much every feature the DVD Specification provides. But professional DVD authoring means more than just having the gear to do the job. It means knowing how to use those tools and having the experience to know what will and won't work, so the job is done right the first time -- on time and on budget.

If you're a film distributor, you've spent good money licensing the rights to the work you're releasing. If you're an indie filmmaker, you've spent months, maybe years crafting your film. If you're an artist or an exhibits integrator, you need someone who understands the nuances of multi-screen playback. Why throw all of your hard work out the window by handing the job off to someone who doesn't know the difference between a UOP and a GPRM? Why trust your video to cheap MPEG encoders that just make so-so looking images? It just doesn't make sense, does it? We don't think so either.

Your video is carefully encoded on one of several MPEG-2 Encoders we have available in our studio. We use the Cinemacraft software encoder on tuned-for-speed multiprocessor PCs, as well as the Spruce MPX3000 hardware encoder, for realtime encoding from videotape or our uncompressed edit system. Audio is encoded to Dolby Digital or DTS (stereo or surround) from your multitrack audio tapes or PCM audio files. DVDs are authored in Spruce DVD Maestro, which has been used to author thousands of commercially available titles and is considered one of the most reliable and efficient authoring systems available.
